The Mt Cooroora Endurance Challenge event director is a member of the 1200kms for kids charity bike ride team. Every October the team cycles between Sydney and Brisbane (alternating direction each year) over 8 days. Each day stopping at hospitals and handing out cheques on behalf of the Humpty Dumpty Foundation and the Children's Hospital Foundation, for the purchase of pediatric medical equipment and to fund research into cures for childhood illnesses. Proceeds from "The Hendrix" will be donated for this purpose.
The Humpty Dumpty Foundation is a children's charity that, for more than 25 years, has been purchasing essential and often life-saving medical equipment for sick and injured children in Pediatric Wards, Neonatal Units, Maternity and Emergency Departments in hospitals across Australia.
The Children’s Hospital Foundation works wonders for sick kids by funding life-saving medical research, investing in vital new equipment, and providing some amazing entertainment, family support and care programs for sick kids.
Our incredible volunteers are there to support children in hospital, helping them to laugh and smile, get better and go home with their families.
